THE RIGHT STARTING POINT
Who this is for
Redesign Strategy is for business leaders and marketing teams preparing to replace, restructure, or substantially improve their website. You may be exploring options, writing a brief, comparing agencies, or realizing that an upcoming project needs clearer direction.
It is especially useful when several people have opinions about the site but no one has gathered those needs into a practical plan.
BUSINESS AND AUDIENCE NEEDS
Define what the website needs to accomplish
We begin with the business and the people using the website. What do visitors need to understand or accomplish? Which actions matter? What information needs to be easy to find? What does your team need to manage after launch?
Those answers help us distinguish essential requirements from preferences. They also give your agency a stronger foundation for recommending design and development decisions.
CONTENT BEFORE THE BUILD
Plan the content as part of the project
A website structure needs content that supports it. I help you consider what exists, what needs to change, what is missing, and who will do the work.
We can connect page priorities with navigation, search intent, visitor journeys, and the realities of producing and approving content. The aim is to make content responsibilities visible while there is still time to plan for them.
A PRACTICAL PROJECT BRIEF
Create something your team can use
The strategy should help people make decisions throughout the project. It should explain what matters, what is included, what needs further investigation, and where someone needs to take ownership.
The scope is agreed before work begins. Depending on your project, it can include business and audience priorities, a requirements brief, a proposed sitemap, content responsibilities and gaps, agency or platform evaluation criteria, and a launch-planning checklist covering redirects, analytics continuity, and content review. Technical requirements may need validation with your developer.
WORKING TOGETHER
What working together could look like
We discuss where you are in the process and agree on the decisions the engagement needs to support. I review existing material, gather the relevant needs, and work with you to turn them into a practical brief and priorities.
You can take that direction to your agency. If you want guidance as the project progresses, we can discuss Agency Partnership support.
